ALTER DATABASE CHARACTER SET
statement is as follows:ALTER DATABASE [db_name
]
CHARACTER SETnew_character_set
;
db_name
is optional. The character set name should be specified without quotes. For example:ALTER DATABASE CHARACTER SET AL32UTF8;
